Play gyms are highly recommended by top jumping spider breeders & help to encourage exercise, good health, enrichment & interacting which helps you bond with your jumping spider. It becomes a familiar safe space like their enclosure they trust & enjoy.

Functionality & the safety of spoods are my priority when I create any of my designs. All porous materials & wood & pretty much every element other than gemstones used are sealed & nontoxic to avoid harboring moisture & bacteria & for easy cleanup. Turn time can vary based on theme, size, special order products, air out & dry times & my workload.

I recommend wiping all surfaces accessible with a damp paper towel or Q-tip with water once received & for normal maintenance.

As an artist, I have the right to decline a project or end a collaboration — especially if client commissions a custom piece and then requests the same theme or concept from another artist.
This is considered reasonable and professional for the following reasons:
1. Creative Integrity & Originality
If a client commissions something custom, it’s expected to be a unique collaboration. If client then gives the same concept to another creator, it can feel like they’re treating my work as generic or interchangeable, which goes against my values as a creator.
2. Client Relationship Boundaries
Artists have the right to set boundaries around how their time and creativity are respected. If a client duplicates requests with multiple creators, it can be seen as undercutting the personal nature of custom work. The original artist is allowed to walk away if they feel the trust or exclusivity is compromised.
3. Professional Freedom
Unless bound by a contract or legal agreement, I as the Designer/Artist am under no obligation to complete a commission — especially if circumstances change or mutual respect breaks down.
4. Reputation & Style Protection
If the second or other creator produces something that’s too similar to your in-progress or completed piece, it could impact your reputation or confuse the artistic origin.

My beautiful fifties Diner Play Gym
I asked Janel if she could build me a fifties Diner play gym and she did not disappoint, it is amazing! She even created a jukebox that my spoods could not get into. with lights inside, I could not be happier, the attention to detail was off the charts. I loved it so much I have her creating a smaller baby play gym for the little ones. I can't wait to see what she comes up with! I know my baby spoods will love it!! Thanks Janel for creating these awesome play gyms my jumpers love to play on!!
